"Autumn Holidays" Scarf (Wet Silk)

The "Summer Holidays" scarf is beloved by owners of small dogs. Why is the scarf named this? Holidays – a word derived from the Latin canicula – "little dog." It is a diminutive of canus, "dog." There was an expression called dies caniculares – "dog days." This was the ancient name for the days when the Sun was closest to Sirius, a star in the constellation Canis Major. These were the hottest days of summer, and also the time when the longest breaks from work or school occurred. This is how the modern meaning of the word "holidays" was created. We added color and made our Holidays not only summer-like but also autumn-like.
